What we are actually looking for

Not followers. A book account with two thousand people who read every post will sell more
copies than a lifestyle account with two hundred thousand who scroll past. We would rather have the first one,
and we score applications that way on purpose — engagement is worth five times more to us than reach.

People who actually read. If your comments are full of “adding this to my TBR”
and “where can I buy it”, you are exactly who we want. If they are full of fire emojis,
we are probably not a fit, and we would rather say so now than waste your time.

Honesty about your numbers. The form below asks for your averages, not your best post ever.
We do the arithmetic on what you tell us, so overclaiming does not help — it just makes the maths look
strange and gives us a reason to say no. Real numbers do better here.

What happens next

A person reads it. Not a filter, not a follower threshold — a person, who opens your
profiles and looks at your feed and your comments and decides whether we would be glad to see one of our covers
there. That takes a few days. It is worth doing properly.

You hear back either way. If it is a no, we will tell you why, in words, and if it is a
“not yet” we will say what would change our mind. We have been on the other side of enough silent
rejections to know how it feels.

Who you are

Use the address you actually read. This is how we tell you either way.

Where you are

Leave blank anything you are not on. We would rather see three places you are actually good at than eight you barely touch.

What actually happens when you post

Averages on a normal post — not your best one ever. We will work out your engagement rate from these, and we will notice if the arithmetic does not hold up. Honest numbers do better here than impressive ones.
